Why There Is So Much Evil In The World?

Every day we listen to people that struggle and feel depressed about the fact that there is so much evil in the world. To be honest, I was this kind of person. I couldn’t emotionally handle any of the news I heard and read. And this is normal behavior. It is normal to feel sad in a sad reality. And we need to accept this feeling of sadness.

In order to understand why there is so much evil in the world, we need to dig deep into the roots of our ancestors and relative species.

We all have heard people saying: “I don’t understand why humans are so evil”, “The human race is the worst species on planet Earth”, “I feel ashamed to be a human”, “We should go extinct”.

What we need to do, in order to help ourselves overcome, for the first time in our known history, the violence of our souls and the effects on innocent fellow humans and other species, is to acknowledge with our eyes bright open, two important things.

  1. Most of the things we do are part of our Ape nature.
  2. Violence and suppression from our ancestors have been transferred through our genes until today. Traumas and cruelty are part of our memory. Even we know it, or not.

On the other hand, when I started taking notice of the environment all around me for many years and having lived with animals all my life, I realized that greed and selfishness exist to all the animals.

The idea that animals are innocent and humans are awful and evil is totally false and misleading. The only thing it adds is the feeling of guilt and hate for our species.

Have you ever tried to watch TV and your dogs lied on you as if tomorrow never comes? This is what it wants to do. The narration of all the creatures are always in the person “I”

I want to sleep here, I want to eat that. The more complicated the brain of the species, the more complicated its thoughts become. Consequently, the feeling of “I want to..” things, lead to greed and negative consequences.

Violence and greed exist in nature.

What we need to do, in order to overcome this remnant and instinct of the jungle, is those of us who have understood this, relax, take a step back and help move on to the next stage. How can we help?

Thinking that we are the worst species is not a thought in the right direction. In fact, it is completely misleading.

We are not the only violent species. We are just the kind of animal with the most complicated thought.

The more complicated the thought of the creature is, the more complicated the violence.

The more complicated the thought of the creature, the more complicated the war against its siblings.

Do you know that chimpanzees have wars against each other? I think that if chimpanzees could create fire, they would burn vast areas of forests.

This is one of the best things I have seen about understanding why there is so much evil in the world.

On the other hand, never forget that we are also the form of life that expressed ourselves with poetry. How can someone not mention that as a form of life we have composed and created beautiful music?

We help each other, we care for each other in the long term. Humans are (maybe) the only form of life that raised our heads over the sky and noticed the miraculous universe we are part of.

We have developed philosophies. Our species has the potential to help and heal other animals, even plants.

As I see it, what we need to do in order to go one step further than the jungle instincts, fears, and anxiety, is to allow ourselves to heal from violence, intensively.

And we have the miraculous potential to do it in even one or two generations!

We have the power to do this. We can be the ancestors of calm and aware forms of life, that choose wisdom and rational thought to cope with their struggles. There is the potential for our species to thrive among civilizations of the universe.

On the other hand, there is also the possibility to destroy ourselves, and this possibility is huge, you know. That’s not a big deal, it has happened multiple times, in stories of greed, seized by egoistic animal instinct.

The difficulty is to thrive.

The thing is that we need to stop feeling ashamed of being a human. Basically, I don’t agree with being proud or ashamed of anything that has not have to do with what you have done.

We can do things that can make us feel proud, without others know about them. And this is everything about our personal self-esteem. Who cares what others know?

I am proud I am a human because I have the wisdom to heal myself and others. As a species, we have the power to help. I am lucky to be human. I can enjoy all the superpowers my fellow humans worked for, while I can enjoy my animal nature.

Feeling ashamed of what others do, is the easy way to tell yourself that you care, without taking action. It adds nothing but depression to the person that feels it. It is a personal thing, that literally no other person cares about. This is the brutal truth.

When I see something bad, I tell myself :

Can I help? No. It is not my fault, I can’t help, it is none of my business.

Can I help? Yes. What can I do about it? And I practically do it.

Believe me, feeling depressed about a cruel incident, is the farthest way to change this situation. The shortest way is to be active and positive to change things that you can change.

We need to get serious about our politics.

Let’s think about it seriously for a moment. Would we ever see a tribe of humans in a jungle or animals that had chosen a leader for their tribe that is inferior in abilities and capacities than the rest of the community?

We need to find the good of our local communities and support them. Practically and seriously. And we need to find these charismatic humans that can be our leaders and support them.

In conclusion, what I believe is that e don’t need to become extinct and die. What we need to do is to heal the violence of our ancestors, with love, morality, and empathy.

And do it intensively, organized, and on purpose. Not just dream about it.

We need to be practical dreamers that act. Not talk. Our actions are our character and our society, not what we think we dream of.

If you feel this is funny and utopia, take a look around you. Everything you look around you was impossible for others. And this is a fact.

We don’t need to feel ashamed of being humans, but being proud of the enormous potential that we have because of that.

Humans are animals that have the possibility to help others. In nature, if an animal breaks a leg, it starts the countdown for its death.

Humans not only can help and heal wounds practically, but we have developed science! Imagine that!

Imagine how wonderful this complicated intelligence of ours is, that we are not only able to help other humans and animals, but also we have created a science around this.

Why a wonderful species deserve to become extinct?

Because it didn’t want to change?

No, I don’t accept this. And I don’t accept the idea that we will perish, now that we finally found a way to communicate all with each other.

This was the dream of all our ancestors, can you imagine that? We take it for granted, but it is not.

It is an enormous and unbelievable luxury.

Let’ use it to heal our species from the remnants of the jungle, and take our species to the level that it deserves to be after 4… of evolution.

And we all have a part in that.

P.S. Friendly reminder, enjoy your animal nature once in a while. Or always.
