It is important that you read the articles in the correct order and prepare yourself for each day.
So, yesterday we talked about the importance of desire in the learning procedure. We talked about how we can boost this feeling of desire using our senses close to the nature.
Today we are about to talk about visualization.
Choose a time in your day you will enjoy studying the most. It can be early in the morning, in the afternoon, late at night, whatever works for you. This is going to be your personal time and it is going to last as much as you want it to be.
Every time I refer to studying, I mean even four minutes a day. The important thing is to build the habit of doing it.
So, what you will be doing on Day 2 to prepare yourself for Greek?
Find a world map. Take a look at it in general. After some minutes of looking around the world, find Greece. For the next minutes, take your time to have a look at the map of Greece.
You may have looked at it thousands of times. You may have travelled in a particular place or around the whole country once, or many times in your life. This particular place of the map is maybe a place you know well, or a place of a dream destination you have never been so far.
It is maybe the land of your anscestors where you spent the holidays of your childhood or a place you have never visisted. Maybe it is the part of the land in the world you dream or aim to spend some years of your life or settle here forever.
Don’t stay in this kind of thoughts too much. See it more in general.
Get in touch with the Geography of the country. The countries that suround it, the capital of the country. The islands, the sea, the mainland.
Dive into the Geography of the place. What is this place all about? How people and things might look like?
When you look at the map, the country stops being an abstract notion. It starts becoming a real thing, a new world, and your heart is filling with curiosity to explore it.
Now, what about the people? What the story of the people that live here may be? What stories have they got to tell? How this can help you open a new window for yourself?
Start stimulating the feeling of curiosity. Curiosity is another beautiful word, after desire.
You have the posibility to make this part of land of the world, a second home of yours. This place of land can help you see yourself in another dimension of personality. It can help you see further and go further.
In your life, in general.
It can be the source of inspiration and power for your heart you have been looking for. All you need to do is allow yourself, and be kind with yourself in this whole process of welcoming this spirit in your heart and life.
All you need to do in this pleasant procedure is to be open.
Think of what brought you here. Go back in your Day 1! How did you feel yesterday in your walk? Bring it back to your mind.
All you need is to be kind with yourself and supportive. Open and curious.
I strongly believe that Language is about desire and feeling, more than Grammar and Vocabulary. These two come as an outcome. And you enjoy the result.
I am sure about it. Because, if we have the desire and feelings, we will be pleasantly commited to ourselves to do the work of 5 or 10 or 20 minutes per day that will make our goal real.
And you will finally do it. Without realizing it, while you are making your life beautiful.
This is school. This is learning. The most brilliant and enjoyable practice of curiosity in our lives.
What about practice?
Yes, practice is an important part in this way of life. But practice means working with ourselves for ourselves. This is a habit of love for ourselves, it must not feel like a struggle.
So now, you have a vision. From now on, you will be exploring what the people that have been living in this particular part of land of the world know, how they have coped, and how this can help you personally.
The way of learning is to travel in time, using the words and people’s language.
The language that has been travelling around this place for centuries, helping its people express their happiness, struggles, and description of the world around them.
I am very happy for this journey of yours.
Now, find some time to Practice your Day 2.
